Jill and Chris are semi-retired, running a lodge/hostel in Sayward on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. Jill has dabbled with art for several years, but had never had much training. She became part of a small group of Saywardites who get together to sketch and paint. The group organized two workshops at the lodge this year - a watercolour workshop in March, led by Joanne Thomson of Victoria, and an acrylic painting workshop in October, led by Brian Simons, also of Victoria.
Chris had never painted or sketched before this year, but decided to attend the acrylics workshop with Jill. We both loved it!
Since then, we've been painting as often as we can, and are really enjoying it. We decided to start the blog to let others see our work, and get some feedback.
